What We
Offer

Modern/Lyrical/Jazz Class (Form Class)

In our current curriculum, we prioritize the development of technical proficiency, the acquisition of new skills, and the preparation for ISTD ( Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) examination work. This class serves as the primary setting for students to learn their choreography for productions and end-of-term performances. It is a fundamental aspect of their training, providing the essential foundation upon which their overall progression is built. Attendance in this class is compulsory, as it lays the groundwork for success in other classes. Here, students will strengthen their core skills, refine their technique, and cultivate the confidence necessary to excel in all areas of dance.

Contemporary Class

Contemporary dance is a dynamic and expressive form of dance that blends elements from various styles, including modern, jazz, ballet, and even improvisation. It emphasizes creativity, personal expression, and emotional connection, allowing dancers to explore a wide range of movements and techniques. Contemporary choreography often focuses on the use of gravity, body isolation, and floor work, offering performers the opportunity to experiment with new ways of moving. As a versatile and ever-evolving art form, contemporary dance encourages individual interpretation while maintaining a strong foundation in technique, making it a powerful tool for storytelling and self-expression.
Acrobatics Class

Acrobatics is a dynamic and physically demanding form of movement that combines strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. In our current curriculum, we follow the Acrobatic Arts and Alexa Flexibility syllabi. Acrobatic Arts syllabus involves a variety of skills such as tumbling, flips, handstands, and lifts, often performed in rapid sequences or paired with other dance styles for added flair. Acrobatics requires extensive training to develop both the technical ability and physical endurance needed to perform complex movements safely and effectively. This art form is commonly seen in circus performances, gymnastics, and certain dance genres, and continues to captivate audiences with its impressive displays of agility and control.
The Alexa Flexibility Syllabus is designed to safely and effectively develop dancers' flexibility, enabling them to reach an optimal level that supports the achievement of more advanced skills.
Commercial Class

Commercial hip-hop dance is a style typically seen in music videos, live performances, and commercial settings. It focuses on highly choreographed routines that blend elements of hip-hop with modern dance styles, often emphasizing sharp, precise movements and strong, rhythmic beats. This form of hip-hop is designed to be visually striking and accessible, making it appealing for a wide audience. While it retains the core energy and attitude of traditional hip-hop, commercial hip-hop is more performance-oriented, with a strong emphasis on entertainment and visual appeal.
TechFlex Class

Our Tech Flex class is designed to focus on building strength, improving technique, and increasing flexibility. While it is not a mandatory class, it is required for those who wish to be part of the competition team. Strength, technique, and flexibility are fundamental to a dancer’s development, as they provide the foundation for precise and controlled movements, enhance overall performance, and reduce the risk of injury. This class helps students develop these essential skills, enabling them to perform with greater agility, endurance, and confidence in all aspects of their dance training.
Aerial Hoops Class

Aerial hoops, or lyra, are large, circular metal apparatus suspended in the air by ropes or cables. Performers use the hoop to execute acrobatic moves, such as spinning, inverting, balancing, and swinging. The hoop is typically set at various heights and can rotate or remain stationary, offering a dynamic platform for aerialists. Aerial hoop acts combine strength, flexibility, and grace, with performers using their body to seamlessly flow through and around the hoop. The apparatus can be used solo or in pairs, and the routines often involve dramatic poses, flips, and artistic choreography that highlight both physical skill and beauty
Ballet Class

Ballet is a highly structured and graceful form of dance that emphasizes precision, technique, and fluid movement. Originating in the Italian Renaissance and further developed in France and Russia, ballet incorporates a wide range of movements such as pliés, pirouettes, and leaps. It is known for its focus on balance, flexibility, and strength, often requiring years of training to master. Ballet performances are typically accompanied by classical music, and the style is frequently used in storytelling through both classical and contemporary works. Its rigorous technique and artistry continue to make ballet a cornerstone of the dance world.
Competition Team

The Dance Competition Team is a select group of dedicated dancers who train and perform in preparation for competitive events. Members of the team focus on honing their technical skills, mastering choreography, and developing strong stage presence. The team requires commitment, discipline, and a high level of teamwork, as dancers work together to perfect their routines for competitions. Participation provides an opportunity for dancers to challenge themselves in a competitive environment, gain valuable performance experience, and represent the school with pride at regional and national events.

Private Classes

Private dance classes offer personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to an individual’s specific goals, skill level, and preferred dance style. These sessions typically involve a professional dance instructor working closely with the student to improve technique, choreography, rhythm, and confidence. Whether the focus is on preparing for a performance, learning a new style, or simply enhancing fitness and coordination, private lessons allow for immediate feedback and a customized pace. The structure of a class often includes a warm-up, targeted exercises, choreography practice, and cool-down, all adapted to the student’s progress and needs.
